Linking External Modules in Pluvo

Suppose you've created a learning path in Pluvo about creating a marketing plan, and you want your learners to create a module in another learning system as well. You want to link directly from your learning path to that module without the need for learners to log in again. Additionally, you want to track the progress of your learners in that external module from within Pluvo. This can be achieved through LTI (Learning Tool Interoperability) or SCORM.

Linking with LTI

LTI, or Learning Tool Interoperability, is a widely used and straightforward way to link educational content to other systems. It enables various educational tools and platforms to collaborate. Here's how you can link an external module to your learning path.

1. Adding an External Module to Your Learning Path in Pluvo

To link to an external module in your learning path, follow these steps:

Go to your learning path and click 'add modules.'
Click 'Add module' again and select LTI module.

Fill in the required fields, including the LTI URL, LTI key, and LTI secret. You may need to get these details from the other learning system.

If you can't find this information, inquire with the other learning system.

Save the details, and you'll find the LTI module in your learning path. Don't forget to test the link.

Note: You can base conditions within the learning path on completing an LTI module.

Tracking Progress of External Users

If your course module is linked via LTI to another learning system, you can still track the progress of your external users in Pluvo.

Go to the respective course module, click on the LTI tab, and select 'External User.' Press 'Trainers View' to open the course module and view the participant's answers.

You can also view the progress and answers in the reports just like you do for Pluvo modules!

If there's an external module in your learning path in Pluvo, you can also view the progress. Simply go to 'reports' in the administration, select the right course module, and review the results.

Linking with SCORM Cloud

SCORM is an older standard to link Learning Management Systems. Although Pluvo doesn't directly support SCORM, you can use SCORM Cloud to create a connection. SCORM Cloud converts the SCORM package into an LTI form.

Follow these steps to add an external e-learning using SCORM Cloud to your learning path in Pluvo:

Create an account on SCORM Cloud.
Click the 'add content' button at the top right to upload the SCORM file.
After successful upload, scroll down to find:

Create LTI Configuration on SCORM Cloud

- Click 'Click here to create one.'

Click 'add course,' choose the uploaded SCORM file, and create a 'new destination.' Specify where the e-learning should go, in this case, Pluvo, in the 'Name' field. The other fields are optional.

Add Course in SCORM Cloud

Click 'save' and then 'create' after saving.
After saving, the following screen appears. Click on BLTI.

SCORM Cloud BLTI Configuration

You will now receive three values: URL, Key, and Secret. Add these values to Pluvo to complete the integration.

SCORM Cloud BLTI Values

Fill in a title and the obtained values. You can leave the 'LTI parameters' field empty.

Now it's just a matter of saving, and your external e-learning is integrated!

_Note: As with the LTI connection explained earlier, you can also see the progress of the learner in the external e-learning under 'progress' in your Pluvo learning path. Additionally, you can set conditions based on completing the external module, just
